Cover two big cookie sheets with parchment or silicone mats. Put them aside for later.

Throw the butter, white sugar, milk, and cocoa in a medium pot. Heat it up while giving it a stir now and then. When it starts bubbling all over, let it bubble for another minute.

Take the pot off the heat and mix in the peanut butter, vanilla, and salt until it's all smooth. Dump in the quick oats and stir until everything's mixed up good.

Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mix for each cookie onto your prepared trays. Let them sit out until they get firm, about 20-30 minutes.
