Coffee Cocoa Shake (Printable Version)

A silky combo of cocoa, coffee, and ice cream that’ll make your afternoon way sweeter.

# What You'll Need:

→ Base

01 - 1/2 to 3/4 cup whole milk or cold brewed coffee
02 - 1 1/2 cups vanilla ice cream, about 3 scoops, let it soften a bit
03 - 1 teaspoon up to a tablespoon instant coffee or espresso powder (totally optional, tweak to your taste)
04 - 1 tablespoon (5 g) plain cocoa powder

→ Toppings (optional)

05 - Chocolate curls
06 - Fudge drizzle
07 - Whipped topping

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Spoon whipped topping over your shake and sprinkle on those chocolate curls. Best served right away.
02 - Pour the finished shake into a cold glass. You can swirl fudge sauce inside before adding the milkshake if you want it extra fun.
03 - Let the blender run until everything looks smooth and easy to pour. Pause to scrape down the sides if things get stuck.
04 - Toss your cocoa powder and instant coffee or espresso (if you want) into the blender first. Add the slightly soft ice cream, then pour in the milk or coffee.

# Additional Notes:

01 - If you're after a strong coffee vibe, go for the whole tablespoon of instant coffee or espresso. Swapping in chilled coffee for milk works well if you're skipping dairy.
02 - For a super thick shake, add less milk or coffee. Want it more sippable? Just pour in a bit more liquid.
