Blue Cheese Pears (Printable Version)

Sweet pears stuffed with blue cheese, crunchy walnuts, honey, and thyme make a fancy, tasty bite.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pears

01 - 4 pears, nice and ripe, cut in half and cores scooped out

→ Cheese Filling

02 - 1 tablespoon honey, a bit extra to drizzle if you want
03 - 1 ounce chopped walnuts, toasted in a pan
04 - 4.25 ounces blue cheese, broken up

→ Seasoning and Garnish

05 - A few sprigs fresh thyme, for the top
06 - 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
07 - 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Once they're out of the oven, pour a bit more honey over the warm pears. Toss on some thyme sprigs. Enjoy while warm.
02 - Sprinkle on black pepper, then pour over balsamic vinegar. Pop the tray in and bake until the pears are cooked through and the filling is bubbly, about 20 to 25 minutes.
03 - Pack each pear half with the cheesy mixture, pressing it in gently so it stays put.
04 - Toss together the blue cheese crumbles, walnuts, and honey in a bowl. Stir until it’s one big sticky pile.
05 - Cut pears top to bottom and scoop the center out. Lay them face up on your baking tray.
06 - Turn the oven on to 375°F (190°C). Grab a sheet pan and slap on some parchment or a bit of oil.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Pick pears that are soft but not mushy. Adding goat cheese? It brings loads of extra flavor. You can eat these chilled too, but they’re super good warm.
