# What You'll Need:

→ Main

01 - 28 ounces frozen tater tots bag
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 pound 80% lean ground beef
04 - 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
05 - 1 medium chopped yellow onion
06 - 15-ounce can tomato sauce
07 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
08 - 2 cloves garlic minced
09 - 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
10 - 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
11 - 1/2 cup ketchup
12 - 1 teaspoon salt
13 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
14 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika
15 - 1 teaspoon onion powder

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Follow the pack’s oven temp. Spread out tater tots on a tray and bake till they're nice and crisp.
02 - Heat olive oil in a big oven-safe pan on medium. Toss in beef and onions. Stir a bunch for 8 minutes till beef browns up and onions soften.
03 - Mix in garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder. Cook for about a minute till you get a nice smell going.
04 - Pour in tomato sauce, ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, and Worcestershire. Stir well and keep it simmering on medium-low for 5 minutes so it thickens.
05 - Spread the cooked tater tots over the meat mix, pressing them in so they soak up the sauce.
06 - Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese all over the tater tots evenly.
07 - Pop the pan under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes. Keep an eye on it so cheese melts and bubbles without burning. Take it out right away.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Using super crispy tater tots makes it taste better.
02 - Sharp cheddar gives a strong flavor. Pepper jack works if you like it spicy.
03 - You can swap ground beef for lean turkey or chicken to keep it lighter.
04 - Put tater tots close together so no spots get soggy.
05 - For a smoky twist, add a dash of chipotle powder.
