Strawberry Oat Sticks (Printable Version)

Frozen sticks packed with strawberries and Greek yogurt. Cool, chewy, and fun for dogs when it’s hot or anytime they want a treat.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 3/4 cup rolled oats
02 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
03 - 1/2 cup plain, unsweetened Greek yogurt (check it’s xylitol-free)

→ Optional Ingredients

04 - Splash of water or plain coconut water if needed
05 - 1 teaspoon honey
06 - 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Once frozen, pop the sticks into a sealed bag or box. Keep in the freezer till your pup wants one.
02 - Lay out the sticks on a lined tray and slide them into the freezer. Keep ‘em there at least 3 hours so they’re really hard.
03 - Make half-inch sticks out of the dough by hand, or grab a silicone mold for really nice-looking pieces.
04 - Dough feeling sticky? Stick it in the fridge for half an hour so it gets easier to shape.
05 - Add your oats and maybe some flaxseed to the blender. Just pulse it a few times—you want the dough a bit lumpy, not totally smooth.
06 - Scoop in the Greek yogurt. If you want, add honey now. Blend everything till it’s blended well and looks creamy.
07 - Drop your cut strawberries into the blender. Pour in a little water or coconut water if needed. Blend till it’s nice and smooth.

# Additional Notes:

01 - It’s fine to use frozen berries—just let them sit out a bit before you blend so your mix doesn’t get too tough.
02 - Switch out the strawberries for other dog-safe fruit or veggies like banana, pumpkin, or some blueberries if you want to mix it up.
03 - Coconut yogurt works if your dog doesn’t do dairy. Just pick one with no added sugar.
04 - Let the cold sticks sit on the counter for ten minutes before giving one to an older dog. Makes it easier for them to chew.
05 - You can double the mix for a bigger batch. They’ll keep frozen for a month if you pack them tight in a freezer-safe container.
