# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 680 g sirloin or ribeye steak, cubed
02 - 4 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
03 - 2 cups (200 g) sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
04 - 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
05 - 1 cup (240 ml) beef broth
06 - 1 medium onion, finely diced
07 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
08 - 2 tablespoons (30 g) butter

→ Seasonings

09 - Smoked paprika, to taste
10 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
11 - Salt, to taste

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season cubed steak with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika, then sear for 3–5 minutes until browned on all sides. Remove from heat.
02 - In the slow cooker, arrange half of the sliced potatoes in an even layer, then add half of the diced onion and minced garlic. Top with seared steak, followed by the remaining potatoes, onions, and garlic.
03 - Pour beef broth and heavy cream evenly over the layers. Season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
04 - Sprinkle freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese over the top, covering evenly.
05 - Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are fork-tender and cheese is melted.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For best results, slice potatoes uniformly for even cooking and use freshly grated cheese for optimal melting.
