Honey Garlic Sausage & Sweets (Printable Version)

Sausage gets golden with sweet potatoes, then gets finished with sticky honey garlic for a fast, cozy meal.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - 2 big sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped into chunky cubes (about 2 cm)
02 - 1 pound chicken sausage or Italian sausage

→ Sauce and Seasonings

03 - Salt as much as you like
04 - 1 teaspoon paprika
05 - Black pepper to your taste
06 - 1/4 cup honey
07 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
08 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
09 - 3 garlic cloves, chopped really small

→ Garnish

10 - Chopped fresh parsley

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Move everything onto plates and toss some parsley on top before you dig in.
02 - Dump the sauce over your sausage and sweet potatoes. Pop a lid on and let it all bubble away for about 10 minutes. The potatoes should be nice and soft.
03 - Mix honey, chopped garlic, soy sauce, a sprinkle of paprika, a little salt, and black pepper in a bowl until combined.
04 - Toss the potato cubes in with the sausage. Keep stirring now and then for five minutes to get them started.
05 - Pour the olive oil into a big pan set over medium heat. Drop in your sausage and let it cook, stirring so all sides get browned, about 5–7 minutes.
06 - Cut, peel, and cube up the sweet potatoes—aim for all the pieces to be about the same size so they cook evenly.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Using tamari instead of soy sauce keeps this gluten free.
02 - Stash leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for two months for later.
03 - You can swap in turkey sausage and even use butternut squash if you want to shake things up.
