Pizza Cheese Sandwich (Printable Version)

Tangy sauce and crispy bread wrap gooey mozzarella and zippy pepperoni for an outrageously cheesy, crave-worthy sandwich.

# What You'll Need:

→ Garlic Butter

01 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, nice and soft
02 - 4 tablespoons parmesan, shredded fine
03 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

→ Sandwich Assembly

06 - 8 hearty bread slices like Italian or sourdough
07 - 1 1/2 cups mozzarella, shredded
08 - 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
09 - 24 skinny slices of pepperoni

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Toss your softened butter into a small bowl with parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a little salt. Mix until it looks all even and creamy.
02 - Grab 4 slices, put pizza or marinara sauce on them, lay down mozzarella and pepperoni, then cap with another slice of bread to finish each stack.
03 - Coat the outside of every sandwich with your buttery garlic spread so both sides are covered.
04 - Set a skillet on medium. Lay down the sandwiches and cook a few minutes per side till the outside's toasty golden and the cheese oozes.
05 - Cut your hot sandwiches in half. Enjoy right away and dunk in extra sauce if you want.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Go for bready types like sourdough since they crisp up and don’t get mushy.
02 - Swap in a dairy-free mozz if you can’t do cheese.
03 - Want more flavor? Toss on extras like mushrooms, olives, or some bell pepper.
04 - Make it spicy with some red pepper flakes or jalapeños.
