# What You'll Need:

→ Batter

01 - 1 1/4 cups yellow cornmeal
02 - 2 teaspoons baking powder
03 - 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
04 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
05 - 1 large egg
06 - 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
07 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
08 - 2 tablespoons honey

→ Filling

09 - 10 hot dogs, each sliced into thirds

→ For Frying

10 - Plenty of vegetable oil for frying

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Enjoy them hot, and dunk in ketchup or mustard if you like.
02 - Just keep going till you’ve battered and fried all the hot dog chunks.
03 - Put the cooked corn dogs onto a cooling rack or a plate covered with paper towels so extra oil drips off.
04 - Drop battered hot dogs in hot oil, flipping halfway. Let them fry for 3 or 4 minutes till they turn golden and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to take them out.
05 - Take about 5 or 6 hot dog bits, swirl them through the batter so they're totally covered, and let any extra drip away.
06 - Dump the wet stuff into the bowl with the dry mix. Stir until it all looks smooth and blended.
07 - In a large bowl, mix together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
08 - In a separate smaller bowl, beat together the buttermilk, egg, and honey till everything's mixed up.
09 - Pour in about 2 inches of vegetable oil into your deep pan and heat it over medium heat till it hits 265°F.
