Maple Brisket Grilled (Printable Version)

Slow-cooked brisket with maple, gooey cheese, crisp bread, plus waffles—all together in one awesome sandwich.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - Butter, use what you need
02 - 4 waffles
03 - 2 cups (200 g) grated cheddar cheese
04 - 8 slices bread
05 - 120 ml real maple syrup
06 - 450 g beef brisket

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - After it's finished, let the brisket chill for a bit so it's juicy when you pull it apart.
02 - Put the brisket in your slow cooker, then pour the maple syrup all over it. Leave it on low for about 8 hours, until it falls apart easily.
03 - Take the cooked brisket out and tear it up with a couple of forks. Put it aside for now.
04 - Butter one side of all the bread slices. Fire up a skillet over medium heat.
05 - Lay a bread slice in the skillet, butter side down. Go in with cheese, then brisket, then top with another bread slice, buttered side facing out.
06 - Toast the sandwich on both sides till it's golden and that cheese gets gooey, flipping it once halfway through.
07 - Keep going with all your bread, brisket, and cheese till you have four sandwiches cooked up.
08 - Heat your waffles however you like—pop them in a toaster or oven as the package says, or just until they're warm enough.
09 - Grab two waffles and put a grilled brisket sandwich right in between. Do this for each one.
10 - Dig in while they're still hot so they're at their best!

# Additional Notes:

01 - If you let the brisket sit a few minutes before pulling it, the juices go back into the meat, making it even better.
