Manhattan Hot Shot (Printable Version)

Toasty bread topped with hot meat, buttery mashed potatoes, and a hearty pour of gravy. All-American comfort at its best.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Components

01 - 1 slice of white or wheat bread, super soft
02 - 4 to 6 ounces (120 to 180 ml) hot gravy that matches your meat
03 - 1 to 1.5 cups (240 to 360 ml) mashed potatoes, kept piping hot
04 - 4 ounces (115 g) sliced hot roast beef, turkey, or chicken

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Dig in while it's still warm and maybe toss a salad or veggies on the side.
02 - Pour the rest of your hot gravy all over the top.
03 - Lay your warmed, sliced meat on top so it covers the potatoes.
04 - Drizzle just a bit of hot gravy over the potatoes first.
05 - Pile mashed potatoes straight on the bread and spread ‘em out.
06 - Set your slice of bread on a plate to start things off.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Best if you use just-made mashed potatoes and make sure your gravy is really hot before you build.
