Salmon Hot Honey Skillet (Printable Version)

Rich salmon in a spicy-sweet honey, butter, red pepper, and garlic sauce, cooked fast in about a half hour.

# What You'll Need:

→ Salmon

01 - Sprinkle on 1/2 teaspoon paprika
02 - Use 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
03 - Pick 4 fillets of salmon, each about 6 ounces, skin or no skin—your choice
04 - Add 1 teaspoon kosher salt

→ Hot Honey Sauce

05 - Toss in 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
06 - Stir in 1/2 to 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
07 - Squeeze in 1 teaspoon of either rice wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
08 - Add 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
09 - Measure out 1/4 cup honey

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Move salmon onto plates, then spoon the rest of the hot honey sauce right over the top.
02 - Tilt the skillet, let the sauce gather, and keep spooning it over the salmon for a few minutes until they're super glossy.
03 - Drop heat to low, scoot your fish to the sides of the pan. Let butter melt in the middle, stir in your garlic until it smells good, then swirl in half the hot honey mix.
04 - Flip each piece and finish with skin on the heat for a couple more minutes.
05 - Let your skillet get hot for a couple minutes, then put fish flesh side down and let it turn crispy gold for a handful of minutes.
06 - Use another bowl to mix up honey, vinegar, and crushed peppers—hang onto this mix for later.
07 - Dry off your salmon, rub on the spice blend all over the fish side, and let it hang out.
08 - Stir together paprika, pepper, and salt in a little dish until it’s all blended.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Dial back the heat by using less crushed red pepper, or swap in a little smoked paprika for some smoky vibes.
