Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta (Printable Version)

Twirl up buttery noodles with shrimp and garlic for a bold, classic taste that feels like pure Italian comfort food.

# What You'll Need:

→ Herbs

01 - Chopped fresh herbs, as much or as little as you like, totally optional

→ Seasonings

02 - Pinch of Italian seasoning, however much you want
03 - Cracked black pepper, sprinkle to taste
04 - A little sea salt, or more if you like
05 - Red pepper flakes, dash it in for some kick

→ Aromatics

06 - 6 to 8 cloves garlic, chopped up super fine

→ Fats

07 - 3 tablespoons olive oil, split up
08 - 4 tablespoons butter, unsalted

→ Pasta

09 - A box of uncooked spaghetti, about a pound

→ Seafood

10 - 1 pound medium-sized shrimp, tails off and cleaned up

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Mix it all up over medium heat so the noodles soak up the flavors and get nice and hot. Sprinkle on extra herbs if that sounds good. Dig in right away.
02 - Pour the rest of your olive oil into the skillet. Dump in the drained spaghetti, then toss in the Italian herbs, salt, black pepper, and some red pepper flakes. Splash in about a quarter cup of your saved pasta water to get it glossy, or add a little more if it needs it.
03 - Throw in that chopped garlic with the shrimp in your pan. Let everything cook for another 5 to 7 minutes. Shrimp should turn all pink and lose that see-through look by the end.
04 - Drop butter into a big pan and let it melt on medium. Pop in the shrimp. Let those cook just until they curl up and turn pink, usually 2 to 3 minutes, then stop.
05 - While your noodles boil, rinse the shrimp and pat them until they're dry to the touch.
06 - Fill a large pot with water, salt it generously, and get it boiling. If you want, add a splash of olive oil and a handful of chopped herbs. Boil your spaghetti until it's chewy-but-cooked (al dente), usually 9 to 11 minutes. Scoop out a cup of the hot pasta water before draining. Set your noodles aside.

# Additional Notes:

01 - To make it a little fancy, pour a swirl of good olive oil and grate some parmesan on top before eating.
