Air Fryer Garlic Miso Chicken (Printable Version)

Super juicy miso garlic chicken in your air fryer. Big Japanese flavors in only 25 minutes and barely any fuss.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
02 - 4 green onion stalks, chopped small (about 4 tablespoons)
03 - 2 tablespoons white miso paste
04 - 2 tablespoons mirin
05 - 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
06 - 1 tablespoon honey
07 - 8 chicken thighs, no skin or bones
08 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce

→ Garnish

09 - Fresh cilantro
10 - Green onions, sliced

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Right before serving, brush the chicken with the pan juices. Throw on some cilantro and green onions for a pop of color.
02 - When air frying's done, pop the chicken under the broiler for a couple minutes. That way you'll get a nice golden crust.
03 - Cook at 320°F (160°C) in the air fryer for 20 minutes. Flip the chicken partway through. Make sure it hits 165°F (74°C) inside so it's safe.
04 - Lay the chicken out in one layer on the lined tray. Use up any leftover miso mix and pour it right over the top for extra juicy bites.
05 - Cover your air fryer basket or tray with foil or baking paper. This helps keep cleanup easy and stops sticking.
06 - Drop the chicken thighs into your marinade. Rub them well, making sure every piece gets covered.
07 - Toss white miso, mirin, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and the garlic together in a bowl. Mix it up until it's smooth and creamy.

# Additional Notes:

01 - If you're using the oven, heat it up to 375°F (190°C) and bake for about 30–35 minutes, turning halfway. Turn on the broiler for a couple minutes at the end to brown it up. If you've got bone-in chicken, give it a bit more time. Check with a thermometer to be sure.
