Shrimp Garlic Butter Stack (Printable Version)

Rich, buttery shrimp piled on top of savory rice—so full of flavor, each bite hits the spot.

# What You'll Need:

→ For the shrimp

01 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
02 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
03 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter
04 - 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
05 - 1/4 teaspoon salt

→ For the rice

06 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
07 - 3 cups chicken broth
08 - 1/4 cup soy sauce
09 - 2 cups rice
10 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Toss rice, garlic powder, soy sauce, and sesame oil into a big pot with boiling chicken broth. Drop the heat, cover it, and let it hang out for about 20-25 minutes until soft and the broth is gone.
02 - Let the butter melt in a roomy pan over medium-high. Add the garlic, keep stirring for a minute till it smells awesome. Put the shrimp in, sprinkle over the salt and pepper, and cook each side 2 to 3 minutes till they're cooked and not see-through.
03 - Swap layers of shrimp and your finished rice in a bowl or on a serving plate. Keep going so you get a nice looking stack.
04 - Dig in while it's still hot. If you want, toss in fresh herbs or set out a simple salad or veggies on the side.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Love spicy? Throw in a pinch of crushed red pepper while you're cooking the shrimp.
02 - Try swapping out the rice for couscous or quinoa if you want to switch things up.
03 - Goes great alongside some barely-cooked veggies or crisp salad greens.
