Onion Beef Sloppy Joes (Printable Version)

01 - 1 lb ground beef with 85% lean meat
02 - Thinly sliced big onion
03 - 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
04 - 1 tbsp olive oil
05 - 1 tsp soy sauce
06 - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
07 - 1 tsp dried thyme
08 - Salt and pepper to your liking

09 - 4 buns for burgers
10 - 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
11 - Chopped fresh parsley (optional for topping)

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Pour olive oil into a big pan over medium heat. Toss in the onion slices and keep stirring for about 10 to 12 minutes until they look golden and sweet.
02 - Mix in the chopped garlic and cook it for 1 to 2 minutes until you can smell it nicely.
03 - Throw the ground beef in and cook it well. Keep breaking it up into small bits while it browns all over.
04 - Pour off extra fat from the pan. Mix in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Let it cook together for 5 minutes so the flavors blend.
05 - While your beef mix simmers, get the burger buns toasted till they’re golden and crisp.
06 - Spoon plenty of the beef and onion mix onto each bun bottom. Add shredded Swiss cheese on top and cover with the bun top. Sprinkle some parsley if you want.
