# What You'll Need:

→ Crust

01 - One 9-inch pie crust, unbaked

→ Seafood

02 - 1 lb shrimp, peeled and cleaned

→ Vegetables and Aromatics

03 - 1/4 cup celery, diced fine
04 - 1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced
05 - 1/4 cup onion, diced
06 - 1 tablespoon butter
07 - 1 clove garlic, chopped

→ Custard Filling

08 - 1/2 cup mayo
09 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
10 - 2 eggs, large
11 - 1/2 cup milk
12 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
13 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
14 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
15 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

→ Topping

16 - 1 cup Cheddar, shredded

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Once done, pop it out of the oven. Give it 10 minutes to settle so it’s easier to slice and dig in.
02 - Slide the pie into your hot oven. Let it cook about 30-35 minutes until it’s firm in the middle and looking golden.
03 - Dump the cooked shrimp and veggies into the pie crust first. Next, pour the creamy mix right on top. Top it off with a good layer of cheddar.
04 - In a bowl, whisk the mayo and milk till they’re smooth. Crack in eggs, stir in lemon juice, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Mix until it’s all blended together.
05 - Heat up a big pan and melt the butter. Toss in garlic, onion, bell pepper, and celery. Let them soften and smell great. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and aren’t see-through. Pour off any extra juice.
06 - Get your oven hot at 425°F (220°C). Pop your pie crust on a baking tray to get it ready.

# Additional Notes:

01 - You can put this together in advance and warm it up when you want it.
02 - A splash of your favorite hot sauce kicks up the flavor.
03 - Try mixing different cheeses if you want to switch things up from plain Cheddar.
04 - Serve it up with a crisp salad and cold white wine for a nice balance.
05 - Gulf shrimp taste the best if you’re going for that Florida vibe.
