Crispy Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan (Printable Version)

Golden fries tossed with garlic, parmesan, and herbs. Perfectly crisped in the air fryer for a lighter, tasty snack.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fries

01 - 4 large russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1.25 cm thick fries
02 - 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
03 - 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
04 - Salt, to taste
05 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Finishing

06 - 60 grams parmesan cheese, freshly grated
07 - Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Thoroughly wash and peel the russet potatoes, then cut them into evenly sized sticks approximately 1.25 cm thick. Soak cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to eliminate excess starch, then drain and pat dry fully.
02 - Combine the dried potato sticks in a large bowl with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss well to coat each fry evenly with oil and seasoning.
03 - Preheat the air fryer to 200°C for 3–5 minutes to ensure optimal cooking temperature.
04 - Arrange the seasoned fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until fries are golden and crisp.
05 - Sprinkle the freshly grated parmesan cheese over the hot fries directly in the air fryer basket. Return to the air fryer and cook for 2–3 minutes until cheese has melted and is lightly golden.
06 - Transfer the garlic parmesan fries to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Use evenly sized potato sticks for consistent crispness; excess starch removal is essential for perfect texture.
02 - Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to promote even air circulation and optimal crunch.
03 - These fries are best when served immediately after cooking.
