Air Fryer Banana Chips (Printable Version)

Crunchy, cinnamon-sprinkled banana chips you can whip up in just minutes for a quick, light bite when you're feeling snacky.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 tablespoon melted butter or coconut oil
02 - 2 just-ripe bananas, medium-sized and firm

→ Cinnamon Sugar Coating

03 - 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
04 - 1 tablespoon white sugar

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Let the banana chips sit on a wire rack until cool. Once they're no longer warm, you can munch on them right away or pop them into a sealed container to keep them fresh for up to 3 days.
02 - Pop the slices into your air fryer at 150°C. Flip them over after half of the time. Start checking at 12 minutes; you're looking for golden bits with some crunch. You might need up to 15 minutes total.
03 - Lay out the banana slices so none of them are touching each other in the air fryer basket. Do a couple of rounds if you can't fit them all at once.
04 - Use your brush to cover both sides of the banana slices with butter or coconut oil. Toss each side in cinnamon sugar so they're coated nicely.
05 - Dump the cinnamon and sugar into a little bowl and stir till they're combined well.
06 - Chop the bananas into thin, even coins—about as thick as a coin—after peeling them. You can use a sharp knife or a mandoline if you have one.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Pick bananas that aren't too soft; they should be just turning ripe and a bit sturdy so they're simple to slice and fry up nice and crunchy.
02 - Tweak how much cinnamon or sugar you add if you want, or swap in a sugar substitute if that's your thing.
03 - If they still feel soft once the time is up, just give them a little more time in the air fryer—2 minutes at a time—checking so they don't burn.
