BBQ Cheddar Bacon Bombs (Printable Version)

Tiny beef bites bursting with cheddar, wrapped in bacon, brushed with BBQ, and perfect for passing around to friends.

# What You'll Need:

→ Meat Mixture

01 - 450 grams ground beef
02 - 60 grams fine breadcrumbs
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 1 teaspoon sea salt
05 - 0.5 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
06 - 0.5 teaspoon pure garlic powder
07 - 0.5 teaspoon onion powder

→ Filling and Exterior

08 - 60 grams shredded sharp cheddar cheese
09 - 8 slices thick-cut beef bacon
10 - 60 milliliters barbecue sauce

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder using clean hands until the mixture is uniform and smooth.
03 - Divide the beef mixture into eight equal portions. Flatten each portion in your palm and place a portion of shredded cheddar cheese in the center, wrapping the meat tightly around the cheese to enclose and seal.
04 - Gently stretch each slice of beef bacon and wrap it around each stuffed beef ball, tucking the ends underneath to secure.
05 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the bacon-wrapped bombs seam side down and brush each evenly with barbecue sauce.
06 - Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the bacon is crisp and a thermometer inserted at the center shows 71°C. Halfway through baking, brush with additional barbecue sauce for a richer glaze.
07 - Allow the bombs to rest for five minutes after baking to let the cheese set, then serve hot. Offer extra barbecue sauce on the side if desired.

# Additional Notes:

01 - For best results, use thick-cut bacon and ensure the internal temperature reaches 71°C before serving.
02 - Brushing more barbecue sauce halfway through baking intensifies the glaze.
