Sausage Alfredo Cajun Pasta (Printable Version)

Spicy sausage, silky Alfredo, and perfectly cooked pasta come together for a bold, creamy Cajun crowd-pleaser you’ll want again and again.

# What You'll Need:

→ Garnish

01 - Some fresh parsley, chopped up if you want

→ Main Ingredients

02 - 8 ounces fettuccine or penne (your favorite shape works)
03 - 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced up

→ Sauce

04 - 1 cup Parmesan, shredded
05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - Salt and fresh black pepper, just enough for your taste
07 - 1 teaspoon Cajun blend
08 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
09 - 1 cup heavy cream
10 - 1/2 cup chicken broth
11 - 3 cloves garlic, minced up

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Scoop it onto plates, sprinkle a little parsley on top if you're into that, and eat while it's still good and hot.
02 - Toss the cooked noodles right into the pan with the sauce and sausage. Mix well so every piece is coated and heat about a minute so it all comes together.
03 - Drop in the Parmesan and keep stirring until the sauce turns creamy and smooth. Try a taste and add more salt or pepper if you need to.
04 - Pour in your cream and the chicken broth, then lower the heat and let it bubble for a few minutes till it thickens up just a bit.
05 - Add in the minced garlic along with Cajun seasoning and paprika. Stir around for about a minute till you can really smell it.
06 - Warm your skillet and add the olive oil. Slide in your sausage rounds, let them sizzle and get a nice crust on both sides (about 5 minutes).
07 - Boil a big pot of salted water. Toss in your pasta and cook till it’s just the right bite (follow the box if you’re not sure). Drain and put aside.

# Additional Notes:

01 - Want it spicier? Sprinkle in some cayenne with the other spices. Store what's left in the fridge and finish it up in three days.
