Pineapple Ham Bake (Printable Version)

Baked ham mixed with pineapple and glazed in brown sugar—this sweet and savory dish comes together easily and never fails to please a group.

# What You'll Need:

→ Main Players

01 - 1 can (20 oz) pineapple pieces, drained, save 1/4 cup of the juice
02 - 3 cups chopped cooked ham

→ Sweet and Tangy Glaze

03 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves (if you want, toss them in)
04 - A pinch of salt and some pepper
05 - 2 tablespoons yellow or Dijon mustard
06 - 1/4 cup saved pineapple juice
07 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
08 - 1/2 cup brown sugar

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Get your oven up to 190°C (375°F) and coat a 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) pan with some butter or cooking spray.
02 - Grab a medium bowl and mix together brown sugar, mustard (Dijon or yellow, you pick), soy sauce, that splash of pineapple juice you set aside, and the ground cloves if you're using them. Stir until it all comes together nice and shiny.
03 - Dump the chopped ham and pineapple bits into your greased pan. Pour the sweet glaze right on top, then toss or stir it up gently so it all gets coated.
04 - Slide into the oven uncovered. Let it bake about 30 to 35 minutes till the ham is hot and you see some caramelized glaze bubbles at the edges.
05 - Spoon it out while warm. Goes awesome with roasted veggies, rice, or a fresh side salad.

# Additional Notes:

01 - The ground cloves give it a warm, spicy kick if you're into that.
02 - Perfect for leftover ham, and deli slices work just fine too.
03 - Tweak the salt and pepper to your taste, especially with salty ham.
