Honeydew Blackberry Basil Mix (Printable Version)

Juicy melon, dark berries, and fresh basil drizzled with light poppy seed dressing.

# What You'll Need:

→ Salad

01 - 1 medium honeydew melon, diced
02 - 1 cup blackberries
03 - 4 large basil leaves, thinly sliced

→ Dressing

04 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
05 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
06 - 2 teaspoons runny honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
07 - ½ teaspoon poppy seeds (if you want)
08 - Sea salt as needed

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Split the honeydew in half and scoop out seeds. Cut into strips, then cube into small pieces without cutting through the skin. Run your knife along the bottom to free the chunks from the rind. Put on a plate alongside the blackberries.
02 - Stir together the olive oil, lemon juice, honey (or maple syrup), and poppy seeds in a small bowl.
03 - Pour your dressing over the fruit and top with the sliced basil. Add a tiny bit of sea salt right before you eat it.

# Additional Notes:

01 - You can chop everything up to 24 hours ahead. Just hold off on the dressing and salt until you're ready to serve for the best flavor.
