Banana Cinnamon Buns (Printable Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ Dough

01 - Warm milk, about 1 cup
02 - 2 large eggs
03 - 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
04 - 4 cups plain flour
05 - 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
06 - 1 teaspoon salt
07 - 1/2 cup sugar
08 - 1 cup mashed banana (you'll need 2 or 3 medium bananas)

→ Filling

09 - Softened butter, around 1/2 cup
10 - 1 cup brown sugar
11 - A pinch of ground cinnamon, about 2 tablespoons
12 - Chopped walnuts if you want, 1/2 cup

→ Icing

13 - Cream cheese, 4 oz at room temp
14 - Softened unsalted butter, 1/4 cup
15 - Powdered sugar, 1 1/2 cups
16 - A splash of vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon

# Step-by-Step Guide:

01 - Beat together cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread it on warm rolls.
02 - Put the pan in the oven and bake for around 25-30 minutes. They’ll come out golden and the top should have a little crunch.
03 - Cover the pan and let the dough get puffy for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
04 - Cut the rolled dough into 12 thick slices after rolling it tight from the long side. Place them cut-side up in a greased dish.
05 - Sprinkle some flour on your workspace and roll the dough into a 20x14 inch rectangle. Spread the filling and sprinkle walnuts if you want.
06 - Stir butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl until it spreads easily.
07 - Put the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and leave somewhere warm for about an hour till it doubles in size.
08 - Add flour bit by bit while stirring till it forms into a lump. Move to a floured spot and knead by hand for about 10 minutes.
09 - Add mashed bananas, salt, eggs, and melted butter to the yeast mix. Give everything a good stir.
10 - Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a big bowl and let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
